Black Ships Before Troy is an excellent book, and I deeply loved the hardcover illustrated edition I read and re-read as a child. Having just bought this version, I'm disappointed because although some of the reviews mention illustrations, this version is *not* illustrated.

Half Before Troy book magic is lost. I'll have to try to find a second-hand hardback/5(). Don’t miss The Wanderings of Odysseus, the companion to Black Ships Before Troy, and follow Odysseus on his adventure home.
